Breaking Ice

is a permanent media installation for the UNESCO site Ilulissat Icefjord Center museum in Ilulissat, Greenland.

The interactive table in the shape of a floating iceberg allows up to 4 users to browse and view film clips covering how the climate change affects the UNESCO world heritage site and its nearby glacier.

Technical features include spacial projection mapping and a capacitive sensor grid providing a 3D multitouch surface for touch input.

I led the team working on »Breaking Ice« at Studio WHITEvoid in 2010.
